burning bridges

Something a little bit noisier this week. As per usual, composed on the M8 tracker. This time around I only used built-in synths for all sounds - mainly FM (both the main M8 FM and the macrosynth "chaotic feedback FM"), as well as the macrosynth saw comb. Various forms of distortion were liberally applied.

(I could have sworn I left a comment on this, came back because this tune makes me head-nod at twice the speed due to how the drum does what it does, so I needed to relisten.) I think I wrote I love the noisy lead, but the jackhammer-nature of this is intense, as is the FM focus. "Yeah, boi" kinda tune.

Thank you! Definitely what I was going for big_smile

I'm blown away by all the cool stuff people are making with the M8 tracker. Really enjoyed this!

Thank you, it's really quite the machine - never ceases to amaze me either.

NiN vibes in the best way!! Specifically w/ Alessandro Cortini. I like the swelling lead that comes in toward the end, it's a nice contrast with the harsh tones.

Thank you! Grew up listening to tons of NIN! Coincidentally I now live pretty close from Reznor's hometown!
