Love how mellow this is! What instruments did you primarily use on the m8?

Thank you! This one is fairly sample-heavy - the only m8 instruments are the bass sound that comes in at around 1:20 (either FMsynth or macrosynth, I forget) and the weird metallic lead coming in at 2:14, which is FM synth, both my own. The pads are sampled from the deluge, one of the amazing boards of deluge presets. The plucks are CZ-101 samples, if I'm not mistaken.
You can squeeze quite organic and fuzzy-mellow-feeling tracks out of the M8. When I work with it, it's a struggle to get the result to flow. The monophonic 16-step sequence structure feels a bit like trying to paint through a keyhole. But I'm going to try to overcome this in August, we'll see!
In any case, good job on this one!
It's very gentle and comfy

Thank you! And thank you, I know what you're saying! I've never been very good at thinking in longer phrases, so I find building them in a "bottom up" way by putting together and modifying smaller chunks more manageable than starting with a more freeform canvas like in a DAW. But sometimes I do feel like it'd be a bit easier to be able to see things in a longer timescale. Looking forward to hear anything you make with m8!
