I remember tiny footsteps in the hall
Now you shape the life that's yours to live
Chasing horizons with a quiet fire
And the world opens wherever you go

Solid bop - upbeat but a little spooky, with a classic dance club sound. The voice fits nicely - breathy but urgent.

great track! love the classic house drum pattern. the vocals are a perfect pairing with the undulating and wavering synth sounds thru out the track. vibey, dancey, contemplative. big into it.

(i typed this once, and it seems to have gotten lost, so apologies if this comment somehow shows up twice but with slightly different wording)

Thanks! The vocal is actually Synth V. I'm just getting started with it, so I'm happy to hear it fit the track well.

This song was a special one for me because it's about my daughter. What's funny is that it may be the first song I've written that isn't about depression, death, horror, sex, or some other dark subject. 😄

Even though there's still a slightly spooky vibe to it, the inspiration behind it came from a much brighter place. Thanks for listening!

Thanks so much! "Vibey, dancey, contemplative" is a combination I would be very happy to put on a label for this track.

I'm glad the vocals and synths worked together for you. I spent a lot of time trying to make them feel like they were drifting around each other rather than competing for attention.

And no worries if the first comment disappeared—I appreciate you taking the time to write it twice!
