Alien Shores

A little rusty, hadn't started something new in a while, but back at it for WeeklyBeats 2026.. .

This was a strange one, I started out trying to make an industrial song and it just didn't turn out that way - AT ALL.

Pretty much changed the whole thing around the last two days from what was started.

filter sweeped waves into a SMOOTH bassline with just the right fizz on those rim hits / shaker with reverb heart
very dark melodies with a ton of atmosphere
enjoyed the mix a lot

thx 4 the trip :-D

Trippy little ditty, it wouldn't be weeklybeats if there wasn't some rush at the end of every week (at least for me there is always somthing), don't know where you started but where you ended up is a great opening to the year!

That creepy sci-fi melody is hypnotic.

Strange atmosphere in a good way smile I especially liked when the string-like (Karplus-Strong?) instrument where broken into arpeggios. Something about both the rhythm and voicing of the chords in those parts reminds me of Sphongle.

Very nice smooth, bouncy track! I like when pieces insist on manifesting in a particular way, whether or not we intend them to. Very cool.

nice to see you again!  definitely feeling the waves coming in, but the sky is purple on this one

Happy New Year DataJanitor!

Happy New Year! Can't wait to see what you come up with this year!

Fitting title, I like it on these alien shores.

Real fun one, I enjoyed the (alien?) harmonies smile favorited

Glad you liked it! Thank you!

I can see how this started as something completely different. It’s super weird and yet very groovy at the same time, thumbs up!
