the return of extreme death

By danlinke on July 19, 2020 12:44 pm

this was something i started a little while ago but wasn't sure where to go with the arrangement.

also on a side note extreme death is a project i do when i feel like making shitty metal songs. mix it poorly, mix it loud, make sure everything is compressed as much as possible so it sounds like white noise with drums. i have some other tracks kicking around that i should probably upload and also complete.

anyway here's "the return of extreme death".

I happen to be on my iPad so apologies if I mishear anything due to crappy speakers.

That’s a pretty interesting fake-out intro. I like the main melody. That transition in the middle is pretty cool. It’s a little abrupt but I like the idea a lot and it’s a catchy riff with the right sound. Agree with @NWSPR that the drums are great.

Hope you work on this some more. I could imagine a longer outro. I could also imagine some way to make the melody from the beginning more prominent in the middle break. I realize that it’s the same melody but I didn’t get it at first and listened to it again (but maybe that’s what you want!) Maybe not having a fade-out in Part A.

Really intense overall. Glad I checked this one out.
