Boss Fight 1

Not entirely happy with this one, ran out of time but what they hey?

I had the idea of a sci-fi/cyberpunk style boss fight music, so wanted something with consistent energy that looped. I added an end riff, but it would loop if cut just before that. I’d definitively change a few things given time, didn’t like some of the risers, sections could be more fleshed out, more variation, maybe even add in a quieter bit. But I guess this is what weekly beats is about - getting something out there that’s as complete as you can at that given point and reflect on it - if you want to!

All done on m8 again, samples for drums, everything else a single synth preset (the excellent hypervirus hyper synth preset) that I messed around with.

Ugh! Love it, the panning synth really kept my ears entertained. I would love to get into more video game style music! You absolutely nailed this in my eyes.

This goes hard! I really dig it. Sliding synths at around :50 remind me of Tobacco songs.

This hit hard right out of the gate, to the point where my ears went "WHAAAAAA??????" and I had to stop and pay attention.

Would make a great boss fight for one of those mid/late 90s low-poly PS1/Sega Saturn games that play BGM straight off the CD.

Very strong beat and cool synth textures = very good track

I mean, it's only the first boss, maybe even the first stage, the music likely kicks up on the second.
