Whippoorwill in the Woods.

I used the Percussion on Musescore this week.  Strangely, the Drum kit had something called Bird-song(?)--did not expect this!
This starts in the forest at night.  A "Dark and Stormy Night." The percussion portrays "things that go bump in the night."
I was able to tweak the bird-song feature of the Drum kit to get a pretty good Whippoorwill!  I used various rhythms to shape the call.
During a Michigan camping adventure in the 1980 on a "Dark and Stormy Night" I heard my first Whippoorwill.  This bird really says its name incessantly!  There were never Whippoorwills where I grew up-I knew about them from my bird book(peterson). I stayed up all night, because of the storm, and because of the Whippoorwill! I never thought I would be so close to one.  It was annoying, but it was also hypnotic and kept my mind off the storm.
Everything ends with the Forest at night and the brave (yet annoying) and wonderful Whippoorwill.
