Remembrance

Was trying to figure out what I wrote-- and found the answer in my 2 adult offspring, who were brought to tears as they listened to this piece. They expressed that this piece reminds them of all the many pet rats we have had through their entire lives-- and they still have them. My use of tremolo on ends of phrases, is reminiscent of how many of the pets would vibrate their tales really fast. We lost 2 old-lady-rats this spring, and we still miss them. But a rats life is often a scant 2 years rather bitter-sweet.
Rats have such a bad reputation. But the ones I have known have the most sweetest,affectionate,and comical personalities. They love listening to music while sitting on your head often eating snacks!
One of my offspring (Jo) is a professional artist who draws Ratsonas-- (basically you as a rat) and has a web comic called Vermin Voyage.com (this is my favorite)--They can be found on @ratsJo on instagram.
