Felt more inspired this week, but still struggled to get something done before the last minute. I had another more melodic piece that I was working on that feels like it captures more of where I'm at emotionally this week, but it was sounding best on piano and I need to practice it more to really be able to record it. At the same time, I've been listening to Power Glove and the Far Cry Blood Dragon soundtrack, and here we are. It was fun when I realized that there didn't need to be a progression for there to be a song, lol. TEO-5 provided part of the bass (layered with m8) and that pad that pitch bends. The rest are Linndrum samples and m8 synths. Hope you enjoy.

Aww yeah. Fun intro/outro. How did you pull that off with the m8?

Thanks! So the intro literally was just me sticking an empty tape into my tape deck, rewinding it for a second, then hitting play, and recording that with the m8 internal mic and adding a tiny bit of reverb. The tape stop outro I did by doing a quick render of an entire section, then using a ramp down LFO in hold trigger mode. You can also do it with PIT or FIN and REP/RTO (that's normally the way I do it) but for some reason that sounded a bit steppy to me this time, which is why I went for the LFO

Very cool

Last minute or not, this packs an awesome punch and sounds incredible! Fantastic work. 😎

oh heck yeah, another straight up JAM.
the comeback after the filtered break is super effective, and killer lead as usual.
i love the tape melting at the end!

"didn't need to be a progression for there to be a song"

smile You stole my move!

Ooh this --as the old kids would say-- "Roxzzorz mah boxxzorz"
Great melody, and that kick KICKS.

That's cool!

Nice blend of styles and textures. Everything feels saturated - in your face. This rocks!

got surprise how you got out of the intro in such a classy way!!! nice tune !!!

woahhh this is so cool!!! love the speeding up and slowing down

i'm a sucker for tape sounds but oof when the synth bends in? woooah! \m/ I just dropped a quarter at the arcade! yikes  Awesome feels and love how you got the tape fx and that outro!

Great track - I'm getting some John Carpenter movie vibes!

WHAT
I love the intro and then the pumping speeding up tempo
Goddamn the drop hits so hard
And the synth bends are so SPOOKY
Nice work!

Your tracks are making me wanna finally tackle synthwave/outrun, just gonna have to work out how to make some heavy and gritty synths and pads in sunvox. Damn deck ate another one!

I really am digging your flavor of synthwave, man. This one is super dark and gritty, so great!

awesome. So satisfying when the beat fully drops, then we soar ...

The sounds you have used here are so freaking good, this is all so cohesive, love the start with the fumbling of putting in the cassette tape.

This goes so fucking hard. Favorited.
