Delighted to get to collaborate with my very good friend levelcapybara for this week’s track! He introduced me to Weeklybeats and I am so glad he did, what a lovely community to be a part of smile Here is his WB page, do go listen to the great music he’s putting out if you haven't already: levelcapybara

A few weeks ago I came up with a fingerpicked guitar loop and had no idea what to do with it. I sent it to levelcapybara who rescued it with several added instruments and added a much-needed liveliness to make it feel like a song. This gave me some direction to come up with vocals, then he came up with the drum loop, a synth, and the warbly echo of the main vocal part. Another one rescued from unfinished song purgatory smile

Levelcapybara - pizzicato violin, steel drum, percussion, synth, bass ideas, drums, general wizardry
Me - nylon guitar, electric guitar, bass playing, vocals

hell yeah! excellent collab, really highlights the musicality that you both bring to your tracks week after week. heart

Wow. The guitar work on this track is excellent. And I just love the vocals, both warbly and not. I also appreciate the minimal percussion with the bongo/snap combination.  Beautiful work.

Damn, this is amazing work!

Thanks for the shoutout! heart It was a pleasure to collab, and a blast to hear this in the Week 18 lineup!

Beautiful, the extra arrangements work great. The pizzicato violin and backing vocals are lovely, as is the guitar work.

The doubled guitar that starts around 1min is such a great melody, build and vibe, wow. Love the kind of distant vocals. Favoriting.

Very nice track... awesome vibe.

The steel drum was a nice touch, good use of that part of the spectrum.

Excellent collab!  It's always awesome when something you've come up with and sorta feel lost with gets a renewed rejuvenated purpose smile  Lovely calming mood with the lead guitar melodies.  Vocal harmonies sound great. Well done!

Such calm, smooth and relaxed flow, a warm breeze. Great collab, all sounds so spot on, great stuff from LCP! Love the vocals and lyrics.

this is so beautiful - thank you both sharing this adventure with all of us

Thank you smile Guitar solo went through many iterations. The bongos/snaps were a revelation when I first heard them haha.

Aw thanks so much! That guitar part took lots of workshopping so it feels great to have it called out.
