Chromatic Consolation

By Cursory on December 2, 2024 12:01 am

Happy Week 49! The end is near >.> Pretty quick and dirty loop this time, heavily leaning on the Chroma Console on all the guitar tracks here. Fun to just play around and not worry quite so much about polish.

First late upload, feels like a rite of passage almost lol

Hmmmmmm. What a brilliant guitarero you are. I feel like listening to an old tape of my childhood from the 70ies.

Such a lovely congregation of guitars, this feels very nice.

Love the warm baked tape vibe this has.  Like I got thrown into a time warp into the late 70s.  The bass really makes this a trip with it's excellent melody.  The chroma console must be fun to play with.  The colors make me want to twist n turn the knobs smile

Those Chroma Consoles looked cool. How you liking it?

Always fun to sit with a thing and try it out without extra pressure outside of exploring. Honestly I think sitting and exploring is the way to go most of the time. What's a song anyways ? tongue

Really digging the fuzzy filter on this one! Those staccato strums are funky as heck too. big_smile

What an awesome chord progression from the start. Polish unnecessary, feels like I'm at a live show with you. Live drums? Also, I've been researching the chroma and damn, this might have pushed me over the edge. Sounds so good! Well done man, favoriting!

daaaang, that was a fun (and funky) surprise! truly felt like finding a lost taps under the seat in the dusty old Corolla and slamming it in the deck and whooooaaaa what is this?? and driving off into the sepia sunset. really sounds like you were having a blast big_smile

*i'm glad you commented, i checked earlier in the week and thought you had skipped this week! i was pouting haha

this is so joyful and unhurried feeling - i hope this track will work some magic & make me feel less like the white rabbit...

Thank you smile I really enjoy sounds from the 70s and these kinds of effects.

Thank you! It's a very fun tool, and very aesthetically pleasing. Their design/marketing is very strong.

I'm enjoying it! Lots of sounds and uses to discover. Feels like I can find a way to use it on most tracks, subtly or not. This was one where I kind of let it "take over" and really be the driving force for the sound.

Thanks so much! Drums are one of Logic's drum patches played on MIDI keyboard, but I agree this particular setting has more live character than what I usually pick. I initially felt a bit silly buying a multi-fx pedal when Logic has pretty much every effect built in already, but having an all-in-one box with knobs to turn is definitely a joy to use.

Thank you! What a fun image, we've all been in a dusty old Corolla or two lol I definitely had fun playing this one. Thank you for checking haha, I will try to be on time for the rest of the year.

Haha I wish you the best of luck. Thanks for listening smile

Ah yes, the late upload rite of passage, gotta have at least one. This feels good. I'm feeling summer road tripping, or backyard chilling. Kind of nice to feel some summer right now this time of year. yay!
