Be Alright

Happy week 50! Realized I am running out of weeks I can use to try and finish old songs lol. Bottlenecks on this track previously were getting workable lapsteel (need practice) and vocal takes, and just trying to mix everything, especially the orchestral parts. Finally realized I could just play slide guitar instead with a volume pedal. Lots more automation and knob-turning than I usually find myself doing, and more practice is needed with this part of the process. That said, this one’s in a much better state than it was previously.

That first distant bending guitar wail gripped me right away. Love the combo of soft, pad-like elements and light plucky rhythms. They create a really cool and relaxing flavor here!

That lapsteel (or lapsteel hacks) stealing the show. The muted guitar plucks 💯. Lovely background orchestra. Favoriting. Your vocals are always SO GOOD. I'm ready for a cursory album.

The overall mix sounds great with all the elements.  Lapsteel is awesome but those orchestral supports just fill out the space so nicely.  Oof and that line 'Every ocean finds a shore' heart

Beautiful! loved the slide guitar.

Such a nice lovesong. The orchestration and the use of a bottleneck made me instantly melt away. I wish I will find a cursory album under my christmastree. Thanks you for this awesome gentle music.

ahhhh yes. this is the end of year dreamy vacation we all needed, Cursory  heart

the slide w/ the volume swells! everything supported your beautiful melody just right.
