Created entirely on the Yamaha MDP2 - a General MIDI floppy disk player from 1992 era.  Designed to plug into a digital piano or be used as a first gen MIDI Karaoke machine (for the JP market).

This is a direct recording playing the General MIDI file off the floppy.  No mixing.  Just some slight compressor.  Yeah, I got in there with some cheeky NRPN + Data modification modify some of the "parameters" you aren't supposed to be able to change ;-)

You can watch me play it from the unit at https://www.twitch.tv/videos/605975923?t=00h03m18s

refreshing sound. breezy footwork vibes!

Fascinating stuff.

Fantastic!

Was wondering what you were using for NRPN editing? Back in the day I used to use a PG-1000... but never for sysex editing, just remapping the obscene amount of sliders to midi for ridiculous Reaktor patches!
