Lamentation of a BTS Army (Sad Violin for no BTS tickets)

By Crash Overture on January 25, 2026 4:48 pm

So another violin song, did this one in 3 day timeline which was much too short because I strained my shoulder again and gave myself a massive headache. I did the best with the recordings I made, because I can't be making the shoulder worse.  So no quick violin stuff again. Lesson learned.

I mostly thought it was hilarious when I didn't get tickets* that I have a violin and can write my own smallest violin in the world songs for myself. It cheered me up, AND they let me use the blow torch at work which also raised my spirits.

First time writing a sad song in violin form, and it was just outside what I'm comfortable playing because I don't use sharps and flats that much in the stuff I learn for class. I did joke with my buddy I fucked myself over by writing something I could barely play in such a short time.

Sheet Music

* BTS Ticket rant -- I had thought I registered with my global membership, but the Canadian show defaulted to my US membership which expired basically a day after I registered. I could not access my expired US membership number because it was expired and the card disappeared from my profile (I'm sure someone will tell me I could have renewed or some other solution, but it took me while to figure out what went wrong because I was at the ticket window). And my global membership  didn't work for Canada... which I have thoughts on. I got to the front of the queue lots of tickets available thinking I was gonna get something, but none I could get because my number didn't work. I sat there for like 30 minutes trying to figure out what went wrong as tickets disappeared.  So I went to the general sale.  General sale was fucked, it was sold out well before I got there.  So I fucked up by having too many fanclub memberships. I was too much of fan. I do also think it's bullshit.

The saddest violin! So sad!

You should also record the blow torch at work and sample it. Sample all the things!

Haha you play it better than I did when I was trying it out (on keyboard). The sadness has transformed your piece! These are really great smile

I am glad to make you sad.  I have so many workplace sounds recorded! There's a failing spot drill noise that is my fav bass. I will use it big_smile

Thank you! I too am old and I see "behind the scenes". Yeah, I'm actively looking for someone to help me with it because it's actually more fun to write stuff and see if I can do it, than always working on the same Suzuki book.

Currently dehydrated from all the tears I just wept. And that's only a fraction of your pain.

I heard that BTS is a fellow Weekly beat community member tongue

Sorry about the tickets and shoulder trouble. I've had a messed up shoulder and neck issue all this week too.

Oh no, now I have to lurk and feel awkward. The shoulder neck pain combo is just evil, I hope you are recovering well.
