Starting January 1st 2024 GMT each participant will have one week to upload one finished composition. Any style of music or selection of instruments are welcomed and encouraged.

This week features guest vocals from the one and only Bobby Bergland who happened to be in town for work. I laid down some water bottle percussion and added some embellishments of cello, bass, electric guitar, synth, and a few various sound effects.

That was the result of this metal bottle that we discovered has some really cool resonances if you fill it up with a little bit of water. I'm not sure if I was fully able to capture that here so I might have to play with it some more in the future. But I did like the reverse hit sounds I got out of it!

Love those vocals, and the really interesting sounds accompany and set the mood perfectly. Yeah, the reverse metal bottle is awesome. I used a metal tea kettle with water in it recently, when sloshing the water around it was amazing. Gotta try reversing it now!

Yeah whenever I find a cool sound I can't help reversing it just to see what it sounds like.

I really like this piece! This is how pop music should be made! It puts me in mind of David Sylvian, instrumentation is fantastic, everything is just off-kilter enough to hold together with centripedal force!

Thanks! I always kind of enjoy stuff that seems like it's going to fall apart but somehow manages to stick together. I haven't listened to much David Sylvain. Perhaps I should check out some more.
