There Are Wolves

By Cosmic Cairns on December 6, 2016 11:58 pm

I've got a pretty nasty cold this week, but I wanted to do a track with some vocals, so I did this little tune.  I think my ears are kind of messed up from being sick, so it's kind of hard for me to tell how the mix is.  It sounds kind of weird to me right now no matter how I tweak it.  But I'm pretty happy with the song itself.  Hope you enjoy.

The mix is good.
It's kind of mixed without bass and trebble but that's what I like about a lot of your songs. It that, hmmm, i call it woodstock feeling.
Totally love this one... I just hitting the play button the fourth time now smile

theGuen nailed it.  Your mixing typically lacks low end and a lot of high highs, but it really does mimic some of the recordings of some of those early 70s singer-songwriter types.  Good track!

Even with a bad cold, nearly deaf and burned out by the circumstances at work, you are able to blow out epic and increadile beautiful songs. Here is another timeless HIT ! Love it!!

very very nice, going to listen again now, the wolves know!

Thanks!  Yeah, I purposely decided not to put any bass on this one.  Just felt like it didn't need it somehow.  Woodstock feeling is a good term for it.

Cool.  It's good to know that it least sounds okay.  My head was so foggy from being sick I honestly had no idea.

Thanks so much.  I was hoping to end the year on a strong note, but instead I feel like I'm limping toward the finish line due to various circumstances beyond my control.  Glad to hear this song was still good!

Lovely track. Nothing's wrong with the mix, helps to capture the 70's feel.

Thanks!  I guess something good can come even in the midst of having a fever!

Thanks.  I was really sick and it just sounded weird.  But everything kind of sounded weird.

Couldn't tell you were sick in the song and it has a nice story time feel to it.  Everyone gather around the campfire for a tale smile  Hope you're feeling better!
