Misunderstood Panda

By Cosmic Cairns on July 24, 2024 7:52 pm

Just scrolling through the old notebook where I jot down random ideas I saw the phrase Misunderstood Panda.  I'm definitely looking to just keep things light this week and that seemed like a fun idea, so here goes.

All the other creatures have superpowers
All I wanna do is munch on bamboo now
They all call me lazy, but I don't think so
I'm just sitting here trying to live my truth now
I hope that's okay with everyone

You don't know what it's like to be me, do you?
All you've ever been is just who you are now
Maybe you can fly and that's great, but I can't
Maybe you could take a trip really far now
Go someplace so I can have my space

I don't mean to be standoffish or rude now
In the end I'm really a friendly guy but
I don't need to listen to endless squawking
About how shameful it is that I don't try now
It's all good I'm just misunderstood

That's just a wonderful fresh punk song. Punk pandas, the world did not know we need more of them. Let them be what they are, hey teachers we don't need your wall.
Thank you for this smile of a track!

Love the rhythm of the vocal line and the bouncy synth.  The bamboo line is awesome smile  Extra crunchy guitars keep the fun pace going throughout the song too.  Definite smiles!

wild ride with another gem of a Cosmic Cairns melody!

A Panda that can think and talk like humans. Making accurate punk-trash-music and feeling misunderstood.  I like this.

WEEEEEE. Cronchy romp. I feel the plight of this punk panda now! This cheered me up. I needed something light too. I can kind of relate to the Panda here. Thanks for telling the story for us.

spot on, this is a very fresh sound.
with a few $20,000 microphones, and some cheeky vocal harmonies, this could be a Green Day song!

great stuff, glad u had it in the notebook
also love the rolling of "standoffish" off the tongue

More pandas should try punk.  It's easier to get into than Kung Fu.

Thanks!  There are definitely worse things to do than sit around munching on bamboo.

I imagine if pandas made music at least one of them would make something like this.

I can probably relate a little to this panda, too.  Thanks for listening!

It would make me happy if the next Green Day record was a concept album consisting of nothing but songs about pandas.  I definitely recommend everyone keep some sort of idea notebook.  I jot random stuff down there and sometimes it gives me a jolt of inspiration years later.
