Beautiful string like sound floating among all the strummed instruments... not sure what it is. Also, crazy raw lead is a cool contrast.  This song sounds like spring emerging from winter to me.

  I agree.  I think first takes often have the best energy.  I'd like to use even more of them but I often screw up too egregiously.  I can live with some small errors but not horrible song-derailing ones.

Yeah, seems good stuff comes from the noodling and first takes, and this no exception. Like how this changes up, almost thought song changed. Very pretty melody and satisfying. Felt calming. I need to refresh my memory on what a lodestone is, I like its use in your lyrics though!
