Heliosphere

I usually think of the sun as a welcome sight.  Often I think of it as some kind of benign caretaker of us.  I mean, it's objectively good for life on Earth that it's there.  It's weird to think that it's going to eventually become a red giant and wipe out anything that's still here.  Although we've been in the midst of a pretty intense heatwave here and that certainly makes it a little more believable. But, yeah, overall like all of nature, the sun is ultimately pretty indifferent towards us.  But I still like it.

I can't believe the bright warm sun
Someday will take out everyone

It's hard to believe that setting sphere
Doesn't even care we're here

The musical saw totally won me over.

Yes, love the saw and cello combo! Cool synths too.

Oh hells to the yeah, the saw is the best!

Props on the lyrics & that filter work on your voice, excellent hoedown music at the end. heart

a beautiful instrumentation. you gave the cello and the saw plenty of space to spin their melodies. love the climax in the end. well done.

I bet the sun totally doesn't care about this song either, but I do, well done
- Ebrit

I like how empathic and caring this song feels, all the while being about the sun's indifference. Such a 'cool' juxtaposition, over such a 'heated' relationship wink

"Even after
All this time
The Sun never says to the Earth,
'You owe me.'
Look what happens
With a love like that,
It lights the whole sky.” ―Hafiz

The cello melody has a folk vibe, and the musical saw brings a joyful vibe. Another southpaw song theme. Loving it.

You can try to resist the allure of the musical saw, but it's impossible.  smile

Thanks!  I've found that musical saw and cello seem to combine quite nicely.

Thanks!  Lyrics were pretty short and sweet this time, but I think I pretty much managed to express what I wanted to.

Thank you as always for listening!  I think the cello and saw were really the heart of this one.

I'm quite sure the sun does not give a hoot about this song or any other.  But I guess it's the sun's loss that it's not a music fan.

That's a really cool quote.  Thanks for sharing!

Thanks!  I do like the cello and musical saw combo in general.

The saw, cello, and synths blend perfectly together in a cosmic orchestra! I guess the sun doesn't care or even know we're there. Burning through the elements of the periodic table starting with the lightest ones.  We're still on hydrogen so we have a while.  Helium may not be so bad but earth won't be around for the rest smile

I remember when I first heard about the sun inevitably going red giant when I was a kid, it really freaked me out.  I still think it's kind of sad, but it's also just the way of the universe.  And we will likely be long gone regardless.

I really enjoyed the combo of the saw, cello and bass synth together.  They fill out the mix so nicely as one.  The bass especially has that nice warm sound that cuts through everything.

Thanks!  I feel like it's easy to overlook the bass sometimes, but it's such an important component of any song.

In my mind this is what the Earth orbiting the Sun is really like.

A great start, but wow when that cello melody comes, chills and joy right here. Makes me happy, this is good fun, and that saw really carries this into the heliosphere for real. Ha, great lyrics. Really puts things in context. Nice one!!

Thanks!  I like when the cello come in too.  I had to hold it back for a moment to maximize its impact.
