Halo of Mist

All virtual instruments this week.  Mostly the iris2 synth, but also some virtual brass and woodwinds.  Both the brass and the woodwinds make an appearance here.

you are taking me with your track on a beautiful trip. 1:20, was a brilliant and so lovely short break that I had to listen heavyly on repeat to praise that heavenly moment again and again..

made these virtual instruments sing so organically, excellent detail on both composition and mixing!

Lovely textures between the synth side and the organic brass/woodwinds.  I agree with Q-Rosh that 1:20 section is pure ear candy.  Nice work!

Thanks!  I felt like it could use a little bit of a changeup so I came up with that part on the fly.

Thanks!  Virtual instruments have really come a long way and they're definitely a nice tool to have in the chest.

Thanks!  It's a lot of fun for sure to dig through the sound options and find ones that seem to pair well together.

What an interesting track. It takes me down different alleys. Am i dreaming it or are we dealing with polyrhythm in some sections? This track is quite a trip!

I like this, it's all whirly and elegant.

Love the driving synth bass and that lead synth after the midway point. Lands somewhere between Heaven17 and Pink Floyd. Not a bad place to be smile Cool modulated outro sound.

Thanks!  There may indeed be some polyrhythms at times, but I can't claim I put them in there intentionally.  smile

Whirly and elegant are good descriptors for sure.  Thanks!

Always fun to hit a middle ground between band A and band B and to hear what those bands might be!  smile
