Barking At Byron

By Cosmic Cairns on August 24, 2016 12:30 am

There's a dog that lives next door to my girlfriend's parents house named Byron.  We have a dog named Johnny, who's not generally all that interested in other dogs, but for some reason whenever we take him over there he has a marvelously fun time barking at Byron.  He would be pretty content doing that for hours on end.  I think it's kind of neat how crazy things can be happening all over the world like villages burning and bombs exploding or even stars out in space going supernova, but Johnny doesn't care about any of that when he's in his blissful zone.  I take it as a lesson to enjoy the simple pleasures in life when you can.

Upbeat and fun, the soundtrack to the good life as a dog!
Did Johnny like the track?

He did!  He actually makes a guest appearance in the song.  The noise at the beginning is him making a little growl of approval and he crops up a couple other times during the song.

What a great song! It certainly brightened up my day. ::)

Love the doubling and your harmonies are perfect like usual.

Beautiful song. Another epic song you wrote. Fantastic musicman you are.

Dude, you're on fire. Great story, great melodies, wicked ass guitars, and wicked vocals. Swish!

Thanks, man!  Bobby says you're in town this week.  Is that true?  If so, we should all try to meet up

This is a really cheerfull track. It kind of matches the sunny warm weather we have today and makes me want to go outside.
The Guitars in the first bridge/refrain is marvelous.
At a certain point when listening more carefull I think the basedrum is a bit disturbing. I would maybe have choosed a not so electronic sounding one.
But that's surely a matter of taste.
Great Song!

I'm in your city! I'm around tonight and tomorrow night. Text me and let's grab a beer!

Great Song!

It might not be the best possible drum sound, but it was the first thing I laid down without really knowing completely what the rest of the song was going to sound like.  As such it kind of became the foundation and it would have been a little difficult to alter it without starting the entire song over from scratch.  But the good part about WeeklyBeats is you get to try out a bunch of different thing.

When I first played this I hadn't read the description (or looked at these awesome gifs here) and I pictured two people hotting and hollering at each other. Great melody / vocal as usual, and I love the groovin funky beat and so many cool layers going on here. Such great life lesson learned from those dogs too!
