Automatic Owl

By Cosmic Cairns on October 5, 2022 7:11 pm

I've been battling a nasty head cold this week.  Not feeling very sharp mentally and I can't even laugh without breaking out into a coughing fit.  No chance of doing any vocals this week, so another synth noodle it is.  This time with some added owl noises and a little bass guitar.

Owl noises! That's what it was! I was wondering, while listening to the track. I wish you a prompt recovery!

I hear that virus invading my right speaker! smile Fun and lovely melody. Get well soon!

Thanks!  I was happy with how well the owls seemed to fit into this track.  And they just have cool sounding voices.

I think the virus for sure may have wormed its way into this track.  smile  Thanks for listening!

never heared owls in a music track before. great innovation. it fits very good. get well soon.

Sometimes you just gotta let the bird take flight, see where they get you

Hope you feel better soon! This has a really beautiful ‘relaxing-sunny-drive’ feel to it, really catchy and attractive(with so much along the way to keep it interesting). heart heart

Good feelings here, it feels kind of like relaxing, and majestic. I also thought of Yo La Tango, hmm.  The owls are wonderful. I recently learned that owls have killed humans by crashing into their heads, which is crazy. I still love them though. I saw a calendar called hungover owls, it was hilarious. They are funny. Hope you feel better. My family all had colds recently, then we learned it was probably covid since one of us went and got a real test. The home tests seem to not be good.

There needs to be a whole genre of music involving owls.

Birds are natural singers and musicians.  It's good to let them take the lead sometimes.

Thanks!  I'm not sure how I was able to pull off a sunny vibe since I felt so murky, but I'm glad to hear that came through!

We tested negative for covid, too, but I wonder if that's what it actually was.  I'm not sure what it really matters anymore in a way other than putting a name to your ill feeling.  Thanks for listening!  I like owls, too.  That calendar sounds awesome.  I didn't think of Yo La Tengo, but I can see it.

I like owls, during COVID I used to go on a walk where the midpoint was me turning around under this bridge and I saw these two owls perched under the bridge and I'd kinda say hello and nod their way because it's not every day you see one, so limited chances to establish good reputation with those creatures.

I think at least an EP of owl music should be worthwhile, but this is gorgeous and surprisingly sunny sounding for a track that nocturnal birds sing on heart

This had a fun jungle exploring feel to it.  Very uplifting as well.  I hope you're feeling better!

I unfortunately don't encounter real life owls as often as I'd like.  Cool you got to see them on the bridge.  Owl hoots are surprisingly more pleasing on the ears than I would have expected.  I might have to utilize them again at some point.

I'm surprised at how positive sounding this track turned out considering how mucky headed I was at the time.  Doing much better now.  Thanks!
