Existential Dread

By coreytrev0r on March 22, 2020 9:20 pm

Existential dread has killed my creativity.  Speedtrash this week

If I was rich enough to have a good sound system in my car I would blast this. Nice job dude!

The rhythms tho. You managed a hell of a lot of swing and push with just piano and drums. Very nice.

Tremolo is great on this. I would not have think to do that.

had me dancing. got a bit of a Gorillaz feel to it

Yeah, I was def getting a Gorillaz vibe from this too. Maybe even a bit of Sublime.

Cool track this week man. I love the tremolo on the piano, give this thing a really cool groove.

Thanks guys.  I didn't expect to get much feedback on this since I cranked it out in a few hours.  I didn't have any motivation this week.  You'd think all this extra free time and I'd be more focused.  Hopefully I'll put out something better next week.

BTW the tremolo/gated volume effect is done with the FL Studio stock plugin "Fruity Love Philter".  It's a pretty cool and versatile plugin if you have it check it out.

This came out great,  i hear a Gorillaz vibe too but in the best way possible.  Have any ideas or plans for vocals on this one?

Very nice man! I dig the synth you bring i. Like everyone else i do hear that gorillaz vibe

thanks JOEL appreciate it.

Hardy and Memo beat me to the Gorillaz feel haha. Great job Matt. I too would enjoy your vocals on this one day.

I know how that feels, been having a rough time as well. But your beat is still very fun and I'm enjoying this sub on my monitors quite a bit heart

Thanks, man.  I plan on finishing it, just not certain which direction to go with it.  I think I need to embrace the Gorillaz vibe and try to sing like Damon Albarn

Thanks, Gab.  I didn't spend much time on this but I did have fun coming up with the sub track.

The boom on my subs from this track is quite enjoyable! 2 thumbs up!
