Chrons Stew

I ran into some mid-week computer troubles and was unable to finish this one.  It's mostly finished, but missing some things and a little rough in a few areas.  I'm hoping I can get my computer problems figured out by next week.

Anyways this is a mashup of two songs that I love.  Had to bus out my rapping skills for this one.

Turned out great!  Very cool to finally have a recorded version of this after hearing you play it live.  The tightness of the distorted guitar works great.  You don't let it ring out, and even though its distorted, you were able to make it sounds so clean (if that makes sense)  love it

Sounds good man.

Great job dude. Even with the mid-week computer troubles this turned out well. Vox were on point.

Damn man, hope you get your computer is back in operation soon!  This is a cool idea, I’m actually really surprised I’ve never hear anyone else turn this into a rap song.  Your voice is awesome man, if we get a collab going you’ve got to do some singing.  Hit me up when your studios back in business!

This is good. The riff reminded me of the bridge in Victim of Change by Judas Priest but the style is definitely different. Great vocals!

I get a rage against the machine feeling. Awesome. hot stuff.

thanks bud.  I went through a lot of different tones between my two distortion pedals and ultimately settled on this tone I got out of the Ibanez Tube Screamer.

Thanks, man.  The "rapping" took me forever to get down.  I am not a good...rapist? rappist?? lol

Thank you, dude, I really appreciate the compliments.  I think I'm going to be buying a whole new PC because of all the troubles I've had.  I'm also surprised there's not any (that I know of) people rapping over this song.  It's perfect for it.  I came up with this a long time ago and only played it live.  It was fun getting it recorded but a lot of work.

Thank you two!  I appreciate you listening and giving your feedback.

Solid production value, I love this mashup. So much fun, nice work.

Cant say Ive ever heard the second song in this mash up. I enjoyed listening though. Well done!

Fly.

I'm not familiar with the 2nd song either but I really enjoyed the mashup on its own big_smile

Haha the lyrics are top notch. Great rhythm, I love how the hats are swung that little bit to get that nice steppy momentum. Cool vocal layering too, the weave around each other really well.

Glad you guys liked it!  If you enjoyed the lyrics, they came from the song "By Torpedo or Chrons" by WHY? it's a phenomenal song
