Act of cleanliness

This one came out weird and insisted on being a bit of a struggle. Based around a sample of my dryer, which has always insisted on its rhythmic qualities, but I was having some trouble figuring out what to work around it. Ended up being a fairly minimal setup: Digitakt with the sample in various permutations and sequencing arpeggios on the Prophet 6 and Alpha Juno, the latter going through Kinotone Ribbons and Butterfly Effects Dobbo (just recently acquired).

This was probably my third attempt at figuring out how to use the sample, and probably my fourth attempt at putting all the bits together (there were successive attempts, less successful). Not really satisfied, but not sure where I am going with it. I feel like it is eliciting bubbles at a weird carnival.

lmao, the dryer noise is both hilarious and super cool compositonally. Super fun idea to base the whole thing around that. Those beats are getting properly dried.

I think this track is growing on me. I've heard it multiple times now and it grabs my attention more every time that I hear it. The rhythmic quality of the dryer is really cool in this. The elements that you've added also have something special, but I cannot figure out what it is smile.

By the way, you might enjoy this.

I love the repetitive synth throughout the whole track with these little switchups here and there. Keeps things grounded, but also fun. Matmos would be proud of this machinery track.
