Week 44 (55Cs)

By ConfettiTsunami on November 2, 2014 9:49 pm

This weeks track was made again on the OP1 and imported into ableton live for mixing and processing.

This week I had some more time to work on the arrangement in ableton and add more effects, panning, compression and EQ to the mix. I’m really happy with the result. Let me know what you think:

I'm pretty happy with the results as well. Great photo too.

Cheers Jim. I took the picture whilst out rambleing and thought it represented to mood of the track well.

I need to start using my OP1 as more than just a midi controller these days.

Always wanted an OP1! smile Great production and good use of the OP1 (as far as i can tell without owning one, but the result is tasty!) Good job!

Great track with with some very nice sounds. Well done!
Makes me think I should reconsider getting an OP1, always wanted one, but am having problems finding the time to properly master the equipment I've already got smile

I’m starting to use the sequencers on it for some great results with my modular. Using the tombola as a random CV generator can result in some interesting results.

I'm the same with allot of my equipment. The one nice thing about the OP1 is its portability for me. It's great to just sit on the couch and play with or on my commute to work. It's also one of the few pieces of equipment I have that I can say I know pretty thoroughly due to using it on almost all the weekly beats tracks this year.
Once this years weekly beats is done and I can spend more that a week on a track I can see it just becoming more of a background instrument in my collection. I do really love the Pad sounds you can get from it. They’re really digital and usually quite thin but it means they fit in the mix far easier then using an analogue synth for pads.
