here is another piece recommended for budding lute players. it's supposed to exemplify beginning of improvisation over chords, for obvious reasons. it's short and pleasant, almost wouldn't really call it a song, but since it's been passed down for a good 450 years, i'll say, well OK.

A wonderful piece, wonderfully played.

Going with your real name now?

Thank you Jim! Yeah, since Kleie has been on here, I didn't want to claim to be the whole band because I'm not! I mean it's still not my real name, but close enough :-)

Short but sweet.  The lute sounds great!

Your tone really makes me wish I had a lute and maybe the drive to learn it.  I may settle for a classical guitar to get the rich sound when I can afford one.

Short and realy Beautiful, thanx

Exquisite!

Thank you Edmund! Classical guitar definitely makes a good tone already although it can sound tinny... i prefer lute, obviously, and always found it much more pleasing when recorded. Nylon string guitars tend to be really awkward for me when recorded.

Beautiful piece, your lute really sounds good

Short and beautiful piece, indeed smile
