Just going with the flow with this one, I've been back to my hometown for few days last week and now I'm just wrapping my head around life again, thinking about the future, the present and the past.
I exported stems from the m8 and mixed a bit in ableton for the first time! Is always nice to have a bit more control smile
I should be back and be more active here in the coming days, I have to catch up with so many tracks to listen from previous weeks too, I'll do my best to listen to as many as I can heart

Thank you for passing by heart

Hell yeah great song sushi, good to hear your back in effect.

Thank you! Happy to be back smile

Welcome back! Loving all the sounds in this. The synth at the 1:00 drop makes me think of shimmering crystal fractals. The high-register ear-candy-ish shimmer synth in the first minute is also super nice -- adds a nice ethereal touch to the intro chords

Very very solid, love the mix and the ideas you bring there. The progressive explosion of instruments is well made and the mix is well balanced. Damn, good job!

NB: I wonder how this M8 works, I see ton of people here using it for WeeklyBeats (*_* )

Oh my god the way the riser has a slight tape stop and then perfectly falls into the drop. Super slick work, love the tremolo hypersynth chords heart

Lovely track once again, crazy how much you are able to pull out of the m8. I think I need to finish reading the manual cause my stuff sounds super bare-bones in comparison lol

Thank you so much!! I feel overall this is a bit more experimental in terms of sounds and I'm glad it turned out listenable smile heart

Thanks! Mixing is something that I'm constantly trying to get better at, parts of it is during the production choosing sounds that goes well together and then the rest is tweaking the eq on each instrument, especially using mid/side lately to free areas for the bass or push stereo feel in the highs smile
Ah the m8 is just crazy to me, so many features packed into a spreadsheet gameboy ahah. Is a tracker with 8 tracks, but on each track there can be different instruments on every step, I see it more like a tetris where everything is so well cramped to get the most out of it. This also helps tremendously to keep music production minimal, only adding what really matters, since I got it I was able to finish so many tracks that I wouldn't normally do on ableton for example. The fact that is portable means I can be on the couch, next to the pc, outside or anywhere and put down ideas! the battery lasts so long I don't have to worry about charging it everyday like a phone, I just pick it up and start making music, no distractions, no ads, just listening frequencies and using my brain to solve a puzzle, you should have a look at it! If the tracker workflow intrigues you you will definitely have a fun time on it heart

Thank you! Pitch bend and stops help me a lot for predrops, and in general using silence is a powerful trick to make what is next sound bigger and harder heart Hypersynth is the best, so many things can be done with it and I'm not even exploring as much as I should

Thanks a lot! The dirtywave videos on youtube are great too and of course all the great artists doing tutorials as well!!
Actually I think some of first videos I've seen were also from redmeansrecording where he is breaking down his process and I got a lot from those, like to use islands to make variation of an idea before committing to a specific arrangement, some things comes natural after using the device for a bit but others are always a good reminder watching those videos heart

Awesome drop at 1min 🔥

a wild, enjoyable trip. favorite is the trem chords - I have tried and failed so many times making chords on the m8. I think I'm too lazy but probably also a talent issue ><

Hypersynth is awesome!! It makes the process way more enjoyable and if quantized to scale is easy to test some combos especially by just transposing the phrases in the chain smile The voice command helps into sequencing specific steps notes of the chord and gives you more control on which note is played like orchestrating it, using pitch bend and tremolo gives as well a lot of emotion and expression to the instrument, try again! Is amazing heart
