Goal at start 3/3:
Continue goal of trying to make digicore/ ambient plugg. This week I discovered a new microgenre called ambient plugg that seems to be slightly more aligned with what I’m going for.  I still want to keep trying to learn digicore, so moving forward I’ll aim to land somewhere on the spectrum of digicore to ambient plugg.

Notes at end 3/5:
Well, as always everything I make manages to come out sounding like dungeon synth or something from a retro video game soundtrack.
I think what happened this week was I got started making a choir loop I liked, but which set up more of a soundtrack vibe than I intended, then I just kept running with it. That said, I'm kind of pleased with the result even though I missed my goal.

Action plan for next week:
It seems the only way to get an edge on this is to make more rough idea sketches. This will likely involve setting aside time for practice sessions outside of my main production sessions for weekly beats. I probably need something akin to a 15 or 20 min “sketching” session where I practice making just melodies, or focus on cracking skill bottleneck areas without trying to make full beats. Though if I can pull off adding sketching sessions into my schedule, in time that may evolve into making full (rough) practice beats.

i really enjoy the pad sound. i dont know if i maybe would have liked a little more drums to anker everything abit more but this feels already really good
