What Plants Crave (Electrolytes)

By Chrisfoo on April 19, 2020 7:42 pm

Just a quick track this week.  This is going to double as my WB submission and for a new little weekly video project I'm starting on Instagram called Synth Smondays.  Its basically just 1 min synth jams that I'm going to post every Monday to make myself set aside the time to get more acquainted with my synths and explore features and such that I dont typically use.

Also, probably no more full length songs for a bit.  I know I said this a few weeks ago and didn't stick to it, but I want to try to get some stuff release ready.  So we'll see how that goes.

Sound slime a great way to get more acquainted with your synths!  These sounds are great!  Really looking forward to seeing what you can pump out with all your new gizmos and gadgets

Hahah 10/10 title, I'll follow that account as soon as I get around to setting up an instagram. The melody and bassline here work together really nicely, and then that second one coming in fits in perfectly. Good luck with getting your tunes ready, make sure to let us know where you put them when you're done!

For sure man, thanks!

Haha, glad someone picked up on that.  Yeah man, just add me at Foo Williams on IG when you get set up.  I’ll definitely let you know when I release my tunes, thanks!

Love that movie.  Unfortunately, we're fucking living it!  Loving that tight bass sound... It's what I crave! I'll check out the IG project.

I'm pretty bummed this comedy already turned into a documentary.

Ive never seen Idiocracy. Ive always been told its hilarious. I'll have to get to it....14 years later. The bass on this track is funky as hell. That little gadget can pump out some heat.

It's a nice intermezzo to your other work, if nothing else.

I like your synth smondays idea (damn my cpu would not let me type that!) It's a good way to make things feel fresh when you're working on stuff.

Haha, for sure.  I think I'd do pretty good in the Reprogramming arena if it came to it though.  Yeah man, I remember you loved it the last time I used it in a track.  Its a setting on my Roland TB-3 Touch.  I was actually about to try and sell it before I found that tone.

Yeah, but I hear they're making a squeal to Ass.

For sure, definitely a contrast.

Yeah totally man.  Its also good for getting your neglected gear back in the mix.

MY ex-wife is retarded, she's a pilot now. That movie is so quotable, haha. I dig this track. The bass is infectious.

Dat bass. I love the main synth that kicks this song off. I think I would use it in every single song.

"I think this might be Gatorade or something, I was just lookin' for some regular water."

"Water?  You mean like from the toilet?"

LOL love the title.  Groovy little track here.  Really digging the bass and the synth pad.  Gonna miss your full songs but this will work too big_smile

Always fun to take the synths out for a test drive and see what they can do.  Great sounds and a fun upbeat vibe.

That first synth is from my Minilogue XD. Its the first hardware synth I bought and I do end up using it in like every song I record.  Such a quality instrument.

Thanks man!  Yeah I've been loving setting time aside just to mess with my synths.

Heck yes, bring on some more synth! Sounding nice, and great project idea. I'll be sure to track you down on insta.

I heard President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Herbert Camacho LOVES this tune
