Warren Drugs v2

By Chrisfoo on July 17, 2022 11:58 pm

Still not really feeling the creative thing, but here's a v2 of what I was working on last week.  I basically added a "verse" part and looped the verse, chorus a couple times.  Not very hashed out now.  Having a difficult time creating the synth pad sound I want for some reason so that definitely sounds weird this week.  I think my buddy Geoff is going to record some vocals on this, so that should be pretty cool.  Hopefully I'll have more of a complete song next week.

It's definitely fuller, I think the flatness has its charms tho

Sounds pretty full; no idea where vocals would even go at this point (but looking forward to finding out). Special mention to that bass line, which is definitely hashed out. tongue

Thanks for checking it out!  By flatness are you talking about the synth pad wavering in pitch?

Thanks!!!  Yeah, I'm having a blast with the new bass.

Nah, like the fullness in the space, the mix is more inflated in this one

Super tight pop groove. Great guitar and bass sounds. I like how the beat picks up and pushes forward in parts and then drops back. Looking forward to hearing where this goes once. the vocals are in.

Interesting to see the evolution of a track.  The energy still remains strong and upbeat and I agree the bassline is pretty killer.  I'll be curious to see how it evolves further and how you work the vocals in.

Tackling difficulty is what makes us amazing artists. Keep up the great work

Gotta love that bassline.  I can def hear where the vocals would fit in on the new section and chorus. Such feel good vibes in this track.

The cut to half time is so tasty! I dig the way this has developed.
