Toolish (WB31 Trash)

By Chrisfoo on August 7, 2022 9:25 pm

Maybe the whole thing isn't Toolish, but that last riff pretty definitely is.  Might continue next week to see where it goes, wish I put more time in this week.

Nice chords! Would love to see this idea get expanded.

My favorite section here was the middle section. Great chord progression. A rising feel that is begging for a searing melody. Would love to hear this developed. Nice work!

The intro had me more Rush than Tool (TUSH?!?!?!?!??!)  lol sorry

*regains composure*

Same here, that middle was so epic!

Second this. Feels like there's still more for you to explore and play around with!

I don't know Tool enough, but I know I like this.

I had exactly the same reaction, the synth patch and drums really reminded me Rush Tom Sawyer intro.

Nice groove.

that bass guitar holds down such an ideally full foundation for it all, so good!

It has a cool and full sound although the abrupt ending threw me a little bit.  Just for the unexpectedness of it.

I def hear the riffage inspo in that last section.  Even the intro gave me some Puscifer feels (def recommend if you haven't checked that project out).  A reprise/remix/add-on etc would be cool to hear.

This track is a goldmine of seeds of awesome ideas that would blossom into wonderful tracks! You gotta get back to it at some point and expand/create from these. It was really grabbing and I was expecting it to explode, especially after the teasing of the guitar.

Oh yeah, Puscifer is awesome!
