Seeing Through Diamonds

By Chrisfoo on February 25, 2024 11:55 pm

Was really feeling this idea but did not have it in me today.  Couldn't come up with good lyrics or different parts so just threw a lazy solo on there and called it good.  Will revisit.

Side note:  Does anyone have iZotope Rx or know how to restore horribly clipped audio?  My wedding band hired a videographer for a promo vid and apparently he didn’t check the audio level on his line out and it’s absolutely clipped to shit.

Lyrics:
Locked down where no one can find you
Dreaming in worlds that no ones knows
Flip through iterations of
outcomes cut in stone

Scattered gaze, out of phase with the world around me
Sending love, pain and blood to everyone I
Take my inspiration from
But I, but I see through

Your eyes like
Your eyes like
Your eyes like
I can see through your eyes like diamonds

Didn't seem like a lazy solo to me - I thought it sounded awesome. I like what you put together here already, but if you want to revisit it, can't wait to hear more! smile

Gave me some Daft Punk Tron meets Air feels with the suhweet chord progression.  Oooh yais love that arp and it's pulsing effect.  Guitar solo yais! \m/  Doesn't sound lazy at all tho the fade out makes me want part dos smile

I really like the track, the synths and vocals blends great. Nice tone on this guitar solo!

Sounds good to me.  The solo is awesome.  If you were to revisit this, it's short enough you could add another verse or section, but I would absolutely keep the solo in there.

Yeah, wish it was longer. Great track! If there was another verse and chorus after the solo, that would be perfect.

Lovely sound selection throughout and loved how everything melds together!

IF the lazy solo is just sweet guitar riff, I'm fine with that.

The mood and vibe is on point. That chorus hook is excellent!
