Loops with a bunch of spacey shit on top

By Chrisfoo on August 30, 2020 11:39 pm

Oh man, a buddy of mine sent me this meme yesterday and it resonated hard with a lot of songs I wrote this year haha.

Anyways, I'm happy to have actually had a few hours this week to work on something.  I set some time aside today to get my new MacBook set up and studio rearranged a bit too.  Sorry I've missed listening to everyone's tracks the last few weeks, everything's still been super hectic.  I'm looking forward to listening tonight though.

Spacey shit is great shit. He, you arrange loops, work a little bit on music, all good. See you next week with loops with crazy shit over top.

Nothing wrong with some loops with a bunch of spacey shit on top.  If it's well executed it can be highly enjoyable.  Also, this is a great example of a title that is very honest and forthright about what you're getting yourself into.  smile

This title is win. It hits way too close to home though haha.

Really love the melody of this track though. It's awesome.

I really wanted this to break out into a full blown smooth jazz horn section, haha. I dig this though for sure!

This is channeling the spirit of Alonemusic really nice (check out his stuff from 2018), except more loops.

It's good shit.

That's a good title from a hilarious meme indeed. Let the shit on top get spacey. This sounds good!

I for one am always a fan of loops with a bunch of spacey shit on top.  Prob cuz I'm mostly a spacey shit! Love the snare build that jumps off the space cliff into the guitar abyss smile

these may be only loops with a bunch of spacey shit on top, but at least they are OUR loops with a bunch of spacey shit on top.

I loved that specific spacey shit / guitar lead lines by the way.

I've been slow to listen to songs too. Saul Good[man]. wink

Interestingly, I've wondered why I haven't heard people talk about the amount of spacey stuff everyone creates. I feel like reverb, delay, and chorus are used heavily to make a full sound, but they are often used to create a spaceventure track.

Thanks dudes!  Hopefully no one feels as personally attacked by that meme as I did.
