I hadn't thought about that

This one had potential but I wasted a lot of time on dumb stuff.  Among several other dumb things, I spent ~3 hours today trying to figure out how to make a nice shoegazey guitar feedback effect using sends (without using monitors/headphones).  I ended up just using a sample for the intro which sounds pretty awful though.  If anyone has any advice on this, or a preset channel strip for Logic, please share.

Anyways, sorry for not listening/commenting for a bit.  This last month or so has been a shitshow.  Planning on catching up this week though.

Guitars with a hollow body start to resonate and feedback like crazy. Somehow this might help. Great track, btw.

The sample itself sounded fine to me! It might've just gotten a bit overwhelming compared to the bass and the drum entrance in the beginning. I don't know enough about shoegaze to know what to suggest, but I know I'm a fan of your style and I'm looking forward to hearing you explore that genre. smile

cool composition! mix a bit random, also horns are ridiculous, but fair exploration!

no idea how to do the feedback effect in logic, have you tried literally doing feedback by actually hooking up the channel with sends to itself...??? it's probs trash but since that's kinda how it works...

I do heavy feedback effects sometimes with the tape echo plugin from UAD. sometimes tape delays or such allow you to take feedback over 100%. prob not what you are looking for tho.

Didn't know it was a sample smile  Love the wailing guitar when it comes in.  Those trailing synth arps are extra sweet.  Yais!

Wow that bass is smoooooth. I really love the tone you got there, it is just so perfect. Motown vibe.
THAT GUITAR! The run up to and beautiful choice, backed by the electric piano, that's pure vibe. Classic. love it.

This is a lot of fun.  The guitar sounds pretty cool to me and I like all the different sections we visit in the relatively short runtime.
