lack of time this week and a nagging frustration over the fact i never finished this old track led me to fully fleshing it out and finally letting it be complete. originally from 2023, produced in the same project file as my track "morning ferry", this was just a loop for years up until now. i can't shake the feeling that it feels like cheating to not make something fully new for weeklybeats, but at least i have another finished track.

this rules. all of the bits just work so nicely with each other. the warm pads and cold keys, the playful percussion, the bass. it's all just super on point.
also, as someone who frequently goes "dumpster diving" in my own SD card to find old projects, I fully approve of the approach, hahahaha... like you said, the whole point is to complete and release a song - doesn't matter if it was started this week or five years ago.
