Weeks Where Decades Happen

By cfurrow on March 6, 2022 7:18 pm

A few years back I got my daughter an old kid size violin at a garage sale. Earlier this week, she got it out to play with it and I felt like giving it a go for this week's track. I'd like to get myself one now. Preferably one that will stay in tune!
This track contains multiple pieces that I made this week and it might be a bit jarring here and there.
I titled this based on a Lenin quote: "There are decades where nothing happens; and there are weeks where decades happen". I stumbled upon this quote in a news article about the Russian invasion of Ukraine. F-Putin!

wow, intense quote.  sad that that's happening right now.

really liked the panning and the almost harp chord.  as well as the big detuney pad.  the ending is kind of like.....something bad looming in the future.....

I liked the way it transitioned to a lot of different parts.  I never knew exactly what to expect.  I haven't ever heard that quote before, but it's very fitting for these times.  I think I heard the violin near the end?  You should totally get yourself one!  Violin was my first instrument.  I think I started out on a 1/8th sized one.  That thing was tiny.

really cool sounds

that quote... sigh...

lovely sounds and arps. beautiful analog experimantal sequences. Like all the varied parts a lot.
