Untitled Interlude: C

This is a voice experiment I did in Ableton Live using my laptop microphone in a hotel room. I added guitar, bass and drum machine at home.

I really liked this. Trippy as hell and interesting.

Great voyage in sound terms

Propulsive. Want more.

Great texture!  It's a neat approach to a hook, as well--totally unlikely, but completely catchy.

Cool experiment.  It's kind of like what I imagine would happen if Alvin and the Chipmunks took acid and went in the studio.  But better.

Haha yes, perfect! Full-on stuff but some lovely chords and textures peeking out in places smile

Really cool, takes ya on a trippy journey smile

Nice and full of joy!

I like it, in a weird way.  The vocals made me feel edgy and a little physically uncomfortable, a sign that you're doing something right.  Chipmunks on the verge of a bad trip...
On second listen, I think it's the combination of the driving bass rhythm with the sharp cuts between vocals that make it feel so edgy. AAAAAAAHHHHHAAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!  Good job of making the laptop mic sound like it isn't one.  I feel like everything I've recorded through mine has screamed "laptop mic!" even after tons of processing.

Very chipmunks on acid, but a really cool track!

Thanks everyone! I appreciate the nice comments on my hastily thrown together experiment. I love this community...I'm continuously inspired to keep throwing stuff out there.
