Optigan Gone

By cfurrow on May 15, 2014 3:57 pm

I had no time this week to really focus on music due to life things happening. But, I don't want to break my streak.
I stumbled upon an old recording I made playing an Optigan about 6-7 years ago. I ended up duplicating the track in Ableton twice and then shifted the duplicates up an octave on one and two octaves on the second and fading the pitch shifted parts in and out with the original here and there...if that makes sense.

Very cool.  It has an old-timey, vaguely creepy feel to it.  I can imagine Count Dracula lurking around his castle while this plays.  Nice freaky ending, too.

Creepy and fantastic!

Perfect soundtrack for the Hammer horror movie currently playing in my mind!

This is pretty great!

The melody suck you in on this one. Really great atmosphere!

woah!  This has such a cool sinister feel to it.  This gave me some Burton-esque imagery, especially how the drums come in at the end and merry-go-round out smile  Nice job!

Yeah, this rocks. I love the feel of it and the gritty dusty atmos. Great dynamics too!

Thanks for the sweet GIFs and comments! smile
