I started to make a one track per week "challenge" last week and someone on reddit told me about this site, so here i am. I'm a professional musician but an amateur concerning mix, mastering and electronic music with a home studio. I've been composing stuff since 2013 on soundcloud in various styles.
This one and the one i made last week share a certain atmosphere. I like percussions like marimba, steel drums etc and i like to mix "acoustic" VST with more electronic sounds. Still have some trouble to develop my ideas, i like to work with the loops i create but it's hard to keep the entertainment through an entire track.

Welcome. You're running a little late, just two more weeks before a year-long hiatus, but don't let that stop you from continuing on on your own.

I like what you've got going here, I'm sure you'll figure out what it is you're looking for with enough persistence.

Wow, this is some good stuff! I like how it gradually transitions to a four-on-the-floor beat. Feel free to join our Discord and hang out (link is at the top right) smile

Wow that's a sweet progression man! Well composed smile I'd like to see some of your process for writing that. Good job. I was going to say maybe some more action with that bassline in the middle - though the ending has some pretty sweet licks on what sounds like an upright?

Thx man smile Yep the middle of the track clearly lacks on action, something is missing and maybe something could have been done around the bassline! I totally agree with you.

Yeh - I just meant I like the upright bass action that starts near the end. The ending was nice overall.
