The Way

I'm a writer and the way that I write is the same as the way I play the piano. I almost never know what I'm going to write about when I sit with my laptop and put hands to keys. It just flows. So it is with my piano. I put hands to keys -- and it just flows. I'm an improvisational pianist, partly because I never mastered music theory and reading music notation with speed and partly because it's just the way I'm wired. I play by ear. So, for this Weekly Beats challenge, I sit at my keyboard and just observe whatever flow comes. When I hear something I like, I hit record. It won't be perfect, but it's me. It's "the way" I do it.
