Soft Piano Improv

By Bunjigram on January 27, 2024 8:54 pm

Here is a soft piano improv in C Major.  I know my "beats" are much different from the scores of electronica compositions on here, many of which are quite good and I enjoy.  My son convinced me to sign up here for this weekly challenge. He's on here (his second year), and I think this is a great community for sharing and enjoying a variety of music.  I use to record a lot more when I was younger and explored the world of synthesizers and electronic keyboards from Yamaha to Kong to  Arp Omni and others.  The technology has come a long way since then.  I'm amazed when I see what my son does with so much instrumentation and effects processing at his fingertips.  I play a Kawai ES8. Hope you enjoy.

Just lovely. Soft, luscious, interesting. Especially love the section around 1 minute to 1:30 or so and the build starting at 1:50

I do, a lot. There is something very nice about the Piano, I wish I was more into it when my parents were "forcing" me to take piano lessons.

When I find more time, I might get back to this beautiful instrument. And yes it is crazy to know that with a decent laptop, some freeware and paid software you have access to "everything" (virtual instruments, perfectly recorded instrument loop, time stretch, cut-paste, etc...)

Wonderful improv. Flowing like a sun-speckled river

great improv! A fantastic diversion from the other styles of music on here

Lovely, thanks for this sweet improvisation! It's very well balanced on the performance side, feels like you are either very good at it or did a lot of takes big_smile
Don't feel shy to keep up these submissions, there are more styles here than you think big_smile I am surprised and delighted constantly!

Yeah this is beautiful. I definitely have zero critique. Did you record this with a microphone, or a direct in? I am guessing microphone, but I don't know much about the topic.

Really nice, soothing, emotional.

i love that there is an incredibly wide range of music on here, rock on

This is beautiful, and such a rich history of music to go along with it. Your beats are as welcome as everyone else's. In fact, they'd fit nicely along with another user known as Sylcmyk who occasionally does a piano piece as well.
