Orchestral Intro in Dmin

The good news is I got my Philharmonic back (after I lost it and some other VSTs).  The bad news is I still haven't taken the time to really learn my way around it and to dive deep into it. For now, I'm just doing some little experimental noodles, like I did last week. Once again, I used piano, strings, and horns to try and create an atmosphere. This one is another start to something bigger yet to be developed. The idea is to start simple and build with layers. I only had two hours to throw this one together before Mosaic uploaded his and is headed over now for dinner. So, a few quick mastering adjustments, a run-through on the YouLean sound meter to check my LUFS, and off I go to sear some steaks and uncork a nice red. Thanks for stopping by.  - RCN

Starts out sparse and serious but quickly becomes lush and regal sounding. The same piano motif is repeated but gradually develops with the other complimentary layers. And love that flourishing crescendo at the end. Nice!

Lovely piano playing that really picks up when those powerful strings come in and lift up the melody.  Gave me movie montage vibes and a bit of Truman Show feels.  Dinner sounds awesome too haha smile

so nice! glad you got the Philharmonic back. i hate when i lose AN ENTIRE ORCHESTRA  big_smile

*side note, i initially read that as:

"...off I go to sear some steaks and unicorn..." and i was like WHAT KIND OF WEIRDOS EAT UNICORN??  haha

ok!

A really solid buildup, I bet this'll sound absolutely phenomenal once you get around to figuring it all out.

Love that initial motif, how it progresses through the chord changes, and how it grows along with the entire song. Beautiful.

Thanks for the comments AND for re-downloading my Philly orchestra. I missed those guys smile

Thanks TM. I didn't allow myself enough time to develop the piano melody, so I just stuck with some initial phrasing and built on that with the other instruments. Look forward to developing this more.

What? You've never had unicorn?  I like mine medium-rare! smile And, yeah, losing a whole orchestra sucks. But they found their way back, thankfully.

Thanks. Finding more time to "figure is all out" is the trick. Hoping to get there someday.

Thank you. That motif just sorta popped up when I was noodling around on the keys, looking for anything that caught my ears. Hoping to develop it more at some point. Appreciate your comments.
