Magdala

I just finished reading a book about Mary of Magdala, known as Mary Magdalene from the New Testament gospels. The early church disparaged her because women could not have power or authority about the teaching of Christianity. When Mary's gospel was discovered in 1896, it revealed an incredible story about her relationship with Christ and his teachings to her. Not to dig too deep into this other than to say that Mary was an amazing figure of history and Christian Faith. One might even say she was the "first" apostle. I dedicate my song this week to this incredible woman and look forward to learning more about her true story.
