A Little Chelly

By Bunjigram on September 15, 2024 11:58 pm

Once again, I was lazy and did not start working on my weekly beat until 4:00 pm today. That doesn't leave me much time to really get creative, but at least I was able to crank out a little piano solo doodle with some sweet chelly sauce.  Last week, I tried out some orchestration with the BBC, and this week, I now have the gosh darn Philharmonic (thanks to Mosaic). I look forward to digging into this new bag of delights over the next several weeks. For this simple track in Fmaj, I used Phil's piano (sounds like a Steinway D) and a random solo cello that sounded nice. I still have lots to learn about how to shape these sounds and all the nuance they hold, but for now I gotta deadline to meet. (Note to self: Time is your friend. Use it generously.)  Hope all you Weekly Beaters have a great week.  -- RCN

You continue to amaze with what you can get done so quickly. This is beautiful - solo cello sounded fantastic, blended so well with the piano, and just a wonderful, relaxing piece overall. Really love your playing.

Looking forward to what you'll do in the upcoming weeks with the BBC Philharmonic package!

seriously impressed, and that was so nice to listen to this afternoon.
hitting play again, thank you

Such a calming piece.  Love the nuances in the piano and those lil higher fills/trills.  The cello adds a really nice element making this a relaxing duo to watch the sunny day pass by. Excellent work!

So I'm arriving here from the future, where this track has been expanded, and I gotta say, I'm still impressed with this one.  Lovely composition, even less dressed up.  This feels like a quite, romantic reprisal, of a theme, like I could see this in the score of romantic drama, where the main love theme is the week 38 version, and this version is a reprisal that comes up near the end of the film, at a moment of reunion.  Just great work.
