1983

Here's a musical sketch I composed on an old upright piano I learned to play on when I was in middle and high school. I graduated high school in 1982, and a year later Yamaha released its DX7 synthesizer, which made a huge splash in the pop music industry with its iconic bell-like EP patches that became a mainstay of Disney soundtracks and 80's love songs. So, as a tribute to the DX7 and the era when I originally wrote this piece, here is an updated version recorded on the Kawai ES8 with the closest EP patch to the DX7.  Thanks for listening.

Sounds like a great soundtrack to a playful, nostalgic montage. Love the change up right at 1:01. Great energetic playing throughout with a nice warm wrap-up at the end. Well done

LOVE this patch!  quite pretty, terrific chord changes
wonderful piano performance!!

Def feeling those 80s early 90s montage vibes.  A soundtrack to a show right after Doogie Howser smile  Very uplifting track.

A classic, alive again.
