For this week's track, I decided to combine the MIDI stretching with regular audio streching. To get some audio material to stretch, I went into VCV Rack and created a generative patch. I recorded a small sample, the took the audio file into Reason.

In the new Reason 13, I was able to make use of the new Ripley effect unit on a number of tracks (both from the MIDI data and the audio). I doubled up the streched audio and added gating effects to create a rythmic track. Once I added automation, I EQd, mixed and finally mastered the track.

The big thing I tried in Audacity was to test out the "Loudness Normalization" effect rather than the standard Normalization. I think I like the results.

Oh! I really like this one! The rhythmic part really creates a sense of urgency or should I say unfulfilled urgency since the rest of the song just does the slow evolution of those pads and ambience. I love the overall feel! Nice work!

Loving the crisp tremolo effect on that rising / fading pad. Nice work!
