For this week's VCV Rack experiment, I decided to try VCV as an effect, and to try a patch from PatchStorage.com. I used the "Guitar Sequence 1" from Pasquale Lo Zito (https://patchstorage.com/guitar-sequence-1/) as the effects patch. I recorded my Bass-VI through a direct box and used my standard modules to record the patch directly while in VCV. I made two recordings; one long, one short.
I took the recordings into Reason, where I reversed the long track, duplicated it and then panned the tracks left & right. I then sent the tracks to an output bus. For Insert FX, I used The Echo, a Saturation Knob and a RV7000 mk2.
I then made two copies of the shorter track. I stretched some copies of track, while reversing others. On the 1st short track Insert FX, I used 2 copies of Alligator and a Spectre. The second short track Insert FX used an Etch Red into a Glitch. The Glitch allows External FX, so I used a DC-2, a Polar, a Pulverizer and a Synchronous. I also CV controlled the effect activation from 2 PDT2s and a Euclid.
After mixing and equalizing all the tracks, I rendered out the track. For the Master FX, I used a MClass EQ, a MClass Compressor and an Ozone.
