Distant Slow Fire

I started with a chord progression, that I then built into a set of pads. After EQing the pads, I sent them to their own mixer bus for the mix. I then added pluck, using a synth and arpeggiator. I then created a simple baseline with Subtractor.

I added a second synth pluck and arpeggiator and then added the element of a Complex-1 patch to create a rumbling atmosphere. I automated the fading of this using a combinator and automation in the sequencer.

I then took the basic sequences into the Blocks sequencer to build out the arrangement.

After finalizing the arrangement, I went ahead and finalized the mix and mastered the track.

Deep foreboding atmosphere. Really engaging.
I like that chippy arp that swells up every once in a while.
