acoustic meeting

I went in a different direction this week and tried some Berlin School, ambient electronic music (ala Tangerine Dream). After determining a chord progression, I created a set of patterns to create the track. The sounds used to create the instruments were Wavetables I set up in the Tracker's instrument parameters and sample manager.

After exporting the stems, I took the audio into Reason to add some spatial effects. I also added some additional dynamic effects. After some light EQing, I mastered the track. I added some Audiomatics to the master, along with a Pulsar LFO to control the Wet/Dry and Amount controls.

I like the timbres you used. The high register one with the reversed envelope is the highlight! It's a slow burner, the track. There's interesting chord progressions, indeed. It's a nice soundscape. The energy level stays the same across the track, though. I wonder how this would sound with a bit more dynamic variation for increased drama.

Thanks for the feedback. I'll try and work on that in future tracks.
